There is a sincere need for the gospel to spread in Trinidad and Tobago. In August, Fusion (Philadelphia, PA) and LOFT (Dallas, TX) will be teaming up with Trinidad & Tobago Urban Ministries (TTUM) to share Christ's love with the people in this area.

According  to a recent census, only 24.6% of the population of Trinidad have given their lives to Christ, in comparison to 75% of the US population. As Christians in the US, we are blessed to have ample resources and opportunities with which we can draw closer to God. We should use what we receive and share it with the world that needs Christ. We are commanded in Mark 16:15 to  "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.”

Trinidad is an island in the Caribbean that is in dire need of the touch of Christ. 25% of Trinidad’s population lives below the poverty line. As a result 100,000 women and children are sold into the human trafficking ring annually to provide an income for their families.  Abuse of alcohol and witchcraft have twisted and clouded the minds of the people of Trinidad. With staggering crime rates and abandoned children roaming its streets, this is a country that could be changed simply by sharing the hope that Christ can offer.  They have been robbed of the opportunity to know a living God.  The truth of the Lord is the greatest gift we can bring to them right now. How can we hold back from offering the gospel?
